Issued to be cut, and has been cut from block of 4, as intended. AMR (AMR = adhesion marks to rear - light) but generally FAIR to GOOD. Exceedingly rare! Do not miss it.   RESERVED PENDING SALE 75.00 but I have another one - in better condition for a little more - enquiries are welcome

Barratt1948 NOTTS CO Brown MUCH RARER than supposed ... as rare as the 1930s issues AND RARER STILL as these cards have 3 - THREE - varieties. Post war paper supplies, being what they were, were hit and miss; so too was the printing, which is why these appear in at least THREE varieties, on white paper, or on buff-toned grey paper, and with so many types of off-set and litho print styles, dark and light backgrounds, etc. Surely one of the most difficult series to find all varieties of and impossible to complete a full set!

BURNLEY COLOURS and ex-BURNLEY player, Alan Brown, here for Notts Co. This card also exists with "Burnley" inscription Light faults, faint crease, about GOOD.  LIGHT background later type/ whiter cardstock type. 35 includes postage (Europe)

Prices for this 50-year-old series of cards reflect super-rarity. Card (back and front) is only "FAIR" with some wear, scratched surface/image, and aging. This card is NOT AVAILABLE ANYWHERE ELSE and although the card has obvious history - i.e. the handling wear - due to its rarity it is priced at 45 GBP (if it was any better it'd be over 75 - or much more, for a VG/Ex copy). bns2 Burnley FC. Frank Sugg - a sports legend. Frank Sugg was not just an English star footballer, he was also a first-class cricketer! He played for England in two Test matches in 1888 and for three county cricket clubs Yorkshire in 1883, Derbyshire from 1884 to 1886 and Lancashire from 1887 to 1899. He also played for five football clubs! He captained Sheffield Wednesday; and played for Derby County, Burnley, Everton and also for Bolton Wanderers. Here Sugg is shown on a very early Burnley card. A GEM! NOT TO BE MISSED by collectors and fans of The Clarets. This card should be in a Turf Moor board room, in a display cabinet!  125 years old, from around 1888, this is an AMAZING fan-shaped card. Apart from a tiny crease on the short, stub-handle, this is in VERY GOOD PLUS to EXCELLENT condition! EXTREMELY RARE.
