NCvStM AMAZING!

One of the RAREST football cards of all time? This is a match played in Spain, 1922/23, between Scotland's St. Mirren and England's Notts County! Never issued in Great Britain, not ever seen for sale before now. This Notts County versus St Mirren Spanish 1922 card is the only one seen by us, was the only one seen by John Allen - and noted by him, in his album as "golden nugget - absolute gem!"

Barratt1948 NOTTS CO Brown MUCH RARER than supposed ... as rare as the 1930s issues AND RARER STILL as these cards have 3 - THREE - varieties. Post war paper supplies, being what they were, were hit and miss; so too was the printing, which is why these appear in at least THREE varieties, on white paper, or on buff-toned grey paper, and with so many types of off-set and litho print styles, dark and light backgrounds, etc. Surely one of the most difficult series to find all varieties of and impossible to complete a full set!

1948 A.Brown NOTTS COUNTY. Light faults, faint crease, about GOOD.  LIGHT background later type/ whiter cardstock type. SOLD

NEWARKSharpes This is here for the many Notts County supporters who have a Newark interest also.

Newark Town FC.  An extremely rare 1890s football card printed by Baines predecessor, 'Sharpe's Play Up Football Cards'  the first major footy cards printer, who printed this bespoke item for John Wilson, a tailor in Ashton-Under-Lyme. One of the smaller Nottinghamshire clubs, playing in Collingham these days, Newark have an FA Cup history, back in the early 1930s.

A very rare chance to get not only an antique football card of top rarity but also a piece of Victorian ephemera for a club that has not had many, if any, football cards printed!
