1949Barratt MILLWALL Hinton LIGHT background later type/ whiter card-stock MUCH RARER than supposed ... as rare as the 1930s issues AND RARER STILL as these cards have 3 - THREE - varieties. Post war paper supplies, being what they were, were hit and miss; so too was the printing, which is why these appear in at least THREE varieties, on white paper, or on buff-toned grey paper, and with so many types of off-set and litho print styles, dark and light backgrounds, etc. Surely one of the most difficult series to find all varieties of and impossible to complete a full set!

FULHAM Northern Ireland international player Ted (Edward) Hinton as he transferred to Millwall, 1949, on the LIGHT background type/ whiter cardstock type, of this RARE later issue; form 1949.

This very rare card is about VERY GOOD  ?35 includes postage (Europe)

Cibels66 Cohen 1966 Spanish issue, different from Fher, and different from LaCaserta - and almost as rare as the latter; much rarer than the Fher issues, as these were only issued with chocolate bars!   NOTE : "amr" : adhesion marks to rear. Handling wear too. However as rare as rocking horse manure and only 1 of most in The John Allen archive after he collected for 30 years+!

George Cohen - FULHAM    ONLY ?15 due to condition  (if it was VG or better it'd be ?40+)

CASERTA66

Cohen

HOLD ON!  So, you think you know what this is? Think again. See the little crest, top right, on the sticker ... this is the 2nd rarest 1966 Spanish type, La Caserta, rarer than the extremely rare Cibels Chocolates and much rarer than the Fher issue. These stickers are seldom found in great condition as they came with bottled drinks, and had to be removed from the bottle, behind the paper label, so they are usually damaged in some way with creasing and gum damage to the backs.

EXCEEDINGLY RARE but due to very worn condition only ?30   GEORGE COHEN - FULHAM

Fher1966 Cohen Fher-Disgra, 1966 Spanish issue, different from similar issues by Cibels, Fedora & laCaserta. These are from The John Allen archive. John collected for 30 years+ whilst living in Spain and Italy and in that time only 1 or 2 of these came his way.

Plain back. VERY GOOD! Unused, no damage.   George Cohen of  Fulham   ?25

fedora66GC CIGARETTE CARD of George Cohen, for England, at the 1966 World Cup. FEDORA TOBACCO issued this and others, and they were only issued in The Canary Islands (Spain) in 1966!

EXCEEDINGLY RARE - the rarestof the 4 Spanish types form 1966. See above for the others. Thanks to John Allen's tenacity all are available here. These semi-mythical Fedora cards are mentioned in the Cartophilic Trade Index but not this one! A gem from The John Allen archive. GOOD+PLUS (corner knock). Price includes registered postage. £85.00

NOTE : amazingly John had 2 of this. The other is a lesser grade copy, at only £45 - as it has a stain. Please enquire.

ava77best RARER than most think ... these unusual stickers, of Italian-production origins that are obscured under the Anglo American sounding name, Ava Americana, were to flank Panini's first openly Italian post-EEC (pre-EU) entry into The British Isles, in 1977. Notwithstanding stickers by 'Top Sellers' (a cover organisation, for those "printed by Panini" stickers - and funded by Panini too, through a Soho publisher-house of erotica, to put it delicately) no Italian sticker empires had made it into GB/UK/BI before the EEC-1976  changes to trade laws. This series was the joint-first, alongside rival Panini's Euro Football (1977) series. These days to find these stickers un-used is quite a rare event indeed.

Fulham manager, and once upon a time an F.A. Cup winner and - notably-  also a BARCELONA MANAGER and winner of El Copa Del Rey with Barca! Also a manager at AJAX building their great team, and, in fact this is the man behind Johan Cruyff's notion of 'Total Football'. This man is very unjustly forgotten by most. He should be listed as a football legend! Vic Buckingham, here as Barca manager , on a 1970 Spanish sticker (it's a cut-sticker - you can see half of the 'scissor-cut' mark on the rear) by RuiRomer.
