Johnny Carey ex of  Manchester United here as new manager of EVERTON - a late card addition to this series.

Dixie Dean AND Tommy Lawton! A8also with Alex James and Hughie Gallacher)

1948Barratt EVERTON Jones LIGHT background later type/white card-stock type MUCH RARER than supposed ... as rare as the 1930s issues AND RARER STILL as these types have 3 - THREE - varieties! Post war paper supplies, being what they were, were hit and miss; so too was the printing, which is why these appear in at least THREE varieties, on white paper, or on buff-toned grey paper, and with so many types of off-set and litho print styles, dark and light backgrounds, etc. Surely one of the most difficult series to find all varieties of and impossible to complete a full set!

EVERTON T.G. Jones LIGHT background later type/ white cardstock type

This very rare card is EXCELLENT!  ?35 includes postage (Europe)

See the little crest, top right, on the sticker, well, this is the 2nd rarest 1966 Spanish type, La Caserta, rarer than the extremely rare Cibels Chocolates and much rarer than the Fher issue. These stickers are seldom found in great condition as they came with bottled drinks, and had to be removed from the bottle, behind the paper label, so they are usually damaged in some way with creasing and gum damage to the backs.  EXCEEDINGLY RARE! ?40

VERY RARE 1937 German cigarette card showing Everton goalie Ted Sagar in action in the 1-1 England Scotland match of spring 1936. This card wrongly ascribes the goal to Glasgow Rangers player Bob McPhail, whom it names but the photo is a famous Getty Photo Library image that was once featured in the Daily Mail, and can be traced on the internet for confirmation that it was in fact Tommy Walker (Chelsea / Hearts) scoring the penalty.
